Welcome
Our best conference ever!
That’s the unofficial theme of our national conference being held in Hobart from 5 - 7 March 2008… and with this, our 1st national get-together, it’s only natural that we’d aim to make this our best conference ever – a benchmark for all conferences to follow.
As many of you are by now aware, a giant leap forward is the official theme of the 2008 conference – a phrase that aptly encompasses what we’re doing to ensure that broker partners not only have the strength to meet increasing competition, but also the ability to meet the constantly evolving expectations of both their prospective customers and existing clients. As Abraham Lincoln once said, “the dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew”.
The future will always be different from the past and our industry will not be immune to the changes that the future brings with it. Consumer needs and desires are evolving; new products and services are emerging; non traditional competitors are arriving; technology is converging and the very fabric of the client/broker relationship is changing… and this is happening now! As such the theme of our March 2008 national conference is very much about the future and the action that we must take together to ensure our continued growth and success in what is a challenging and rewarding industry.
All of us at The Brokerage are excited to officially extend an invitation to you to attend our inaugural national conference. We look forward to enjoying an informative and fun filled couple of days with you in what is a beautiful part of the world and a great setting for our first Gala Awards Night, which will also coincide with our 7th birthday celebrations. All of this including the agenda, the food and the company will ensure that this conference is special… that it does in fact go down in history as our best ever.
